SELV High efficiency electronic emergency lighting driver, suitable for Power-LED applications in non-maintained or maintained mode. Each emergency lighting driver in the LENC & LEOC range is designed to add emergency lighting operation to standard mains LED luminaires. LENC & LEOC drivers are designed in accordance with BS EN 61347-1, BS EN 60598-2-22 and
BS EN 61347-2-13.
In normal mains operation the LED downlight or luminaire is powered by the LEOC or LENC integrated mains driver and in emergency operation by the emergency lighting control
circuitry and associated battery. LENC & LEOC range drivers have mains connected windings protected by filter inductors in case of a fault condition arising, including short circuiting of the output.

Self-contained DALI emergency LED conversion kits transform standard LED fixtures into smart, self-testing emergency lights. They include an inverter, battery, and indicator LED. Operating via a two-wire DALI network, they allow central monitoring and automated testing without requiring hardwired remote test switches.
Core Functionality & Benefits
Automated Testing & Central Monitoring: These kits perform mandatory routine testing. DALI-compliant systems (specifically DALI-2 Device Type 1 or Part 202 devices) report test results and battery/lamp faults directly to a central DALI control system.
Standalone Fallback: If a kit is installed on a non-networked lighting circuit, it defaults to standalone self-test mode, with faults indicated directly via the charge LED.
Automatic Current Adjustment: The modules intelligently match the connected LED load’s forward voltage, ensuring maximum emergency illumination for at least 3 hours without compromising battery duration.
Battery Technology: Most modern conversion kits use highly efficient Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, which feature low self-discharge rates, temperature monitoring, and low maintenance.
Common Kit Layouts and Setup
Two-Part / Remote Packs: Ideal for compact downlights or ultra-slim panels with restricted space inside the luminaire. These kits house the battery and control module separately and often feature slimline casings designed to pass through ceiling apertures as small as 40mm.
Self-Contained Enclosures: Available in various IP ratings (e.g., IP20 for indoor ceiling voids or IP54/IP65 for damp or exterior environments)
Lux Box (part of the KAMIC Group) is a leading manufacturer specializing in emergency lighting components and remote emergency kits for the OEM market. Their manufacturing capabilities are split between a fully automated facility in Switzerland (for circuit boards and microelectronics) and a UK facility in Fakenham, Norfolk (for standard and bespoke emergency kits).
Key offerings and features include:
Emergency Conversion Solutions: They design devices and inverters that convert standard LED luminaires into emergency lighting.
Innovative Technology: Products are DALI certified, wireless self-meshing, and feature LiFePO4 batteries.
Product Range: They produce everything from emergency lighting drivers (like the LEQX) to standalone fittings such as the LXD2 emergency downlight.
