Their slender, elongated form factor makes them ideal for fitting into narrow profiles like T5/T8 linear fixtures, panel lights, and architectural cove lighting.

How They Work

Constant Current (CC): LEDs are current-dependent devices, and minor voltage fluctuations can dramatically change brightness or damage the diodes. CC drivers adjust their output voltage dynamically to ensure the current remains rigidly fixed as temperature and load conditions change.

Linear Form: The term “linear” refers to the physical, elongated shape of the driver, allowing it to easily tuck inside shallow channel fixtures or under-cabinet extrusions.

Non-Dimmable: These drivers are designed strictly for on/off operation and cannot be used with wall dimmers. This makes them highly stable, typically eliminating buzzing or flickering, and keeps them very cost-effective.

Core Specifications

When selecting a linear driver, you must match the following metrics to your LED setup:

Current Rating (mA or A): Must exactly match the requirement of your LEDs (common ratings include 350mA, 700mA, or 1050mA ).

Voltage Range (V DC): Drivers have a minimum and maximum voltage range (e.g., 12V 48V). The total forward voltage of all your series-connected LEDs must fall within this range.

Wattage (W): The driver’s maximum wattage must exceed the total wattage of your LED string (always leave a 10-20% safety margin).
