A 0-10V dimmable LED driver with dip switches is a versatile power supply that allows installers to manually set the exact electrical current (via the dip switches) to match different light fixtures, while using a 0-10V low-voltage signal to control smooth, flicker-free brightness.

How the Dip Switches Work

Dip switches are tiny manual switches grouped on the driver. They let you change the Constant Current (mA) output.

Versatility: Instead of buying a specific driver for a 350mA, 700mA, or 1050mA light fixture, a single dip-switch driver lets you set the exact current required.

Setup: A small printed table on the driver (or its manual) shows you which combination of switches to toggle “ON” or “OFF” to reach the desired current.

Important: Always set your dip switches before powering the driver on. Changing them while energized can damage the LED array.

How the 0-10V Dimming Works

The 0-10V protocol is an analog method used to adjust brightness.

Signal: It operates on a separate low-voltage circuit from the mains power.

Control: A 10V signal commands the LEDs to run at 100% brightness, while a 1V signal drops them to 10%. Dropping below 1V usually turns the light off entirely.Compatibility: You will need a compatible wall dimmer or smart lighting controller connected to the driver via standard low-voltage wires
