Description

Liteplan NLP/1/TP40/R

The NLP/1/TP40/R are a remote 3-hour switchable emergency lighting module designed to suit a wide range of LED types, circuits and applications. The unit operates with lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries and is available in 2 versions, one for SELV applications, less than 60V.

The module automatically adjusts the output current to provide the best match between the battery and the load, providing maximum illumination whilst ensuring full battery duration. The module is supplied with a green charge healthy indicator LED.

This range uses the latest LiFePO4 battery technology, dramatically reducing energy consumption and facilities management labour. The NLP/1/TP40/R is supplied with strain relief cables so that it can be installed adjacent to the luminaire in the ceiling void. The product passes through a 40mm, or greater aperture. The NLP range has been independently certified by TÜV to ensure that the product, has been tested for safety and that it complies with the requirements of national and international regulations.

Remote emergency LED conversion kits allow standard LED fixtures (panels, downlights, T8 tubes) to function as emergency lights by adding a battery pack and inverter. They are ideal for restricted-space fixtures where internal packs cannot fit, allowing the battery and electronics to sit in the ceiling void.

Key Features and Benefits

Maintained or Non-Maintained Operation: Kits can be wired to stay on constantly (using main power, then battery) or only activate upon power failure.

Extended Backup Time: Generally provide 3 hours of emergency power (often 1.5 hours at higher output).

Remote Components: Includes a remote green charging indicator LED and a test button, designed for surface or recessed mounting alongside the main light.

Versatile Compatibility: Suitable for various LED luminaires (usually with independent drivers, up to 60V or higher).

Automatic Operation: A 2-pole relay instantly switches from mains to battery power during a failure.

Modern Battery Technology: Most modern kits use high-temperature Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, which offer up to 10 years of life.

Easy Installation: Designed with push-fit terminals, simple cabling, and plug-and-play modules.

Components of a Remote Kit

Inverter/Driver: Converts battery power to drive the LEDs.

Battery Pack: Typically LiFePO4 for longevity.

Remote Indicator Unit: A small unit containing the LED charge light (green) and test switch.

Common Applications

  • 600×600 LED Panels
  • Recessed LED Downlights
  • Linear LED lighting
