Description

ELP OM458/TI

The OM Module range has been designed to suit all emergency lighting applications requiring inverter/battery kits to be integrated into modern 220-240V 50/60Hz mains voltage luminaires.

The compact dimensions provide flexibility for internal component layout and the push-wire/IDC terminals simplify assembly whether manual or robotic. Case temperature (tc) rated at 70°C.

The modules fully comply to EN61347 and EN60925.

Emergency Lighting Products OM458/TI

OM458/TI operates the following lamps, please check the attached datasheet to confirm the BLF is acceptable.

8W T5, 9W TCSEL,11W TCS,13W T5, 18W T8, 36W T8, 36W TCF, 38W 2D, 40W TCL, 50W T8, 55W TCL & 58W T8.

The OM458/TI requires a NICD 4AH 4.8V battery to operate for 3-hours in emergency; see our 4DH4-0L4 for suitability to the application.

Fluorescent emergency modules are critical lighting components that convert standard, mains-powered fluorescent fixtures into emergency lights by providing a, typically, 3-hour battery backup during power failures. They consist of an inverter, charger, and high-temperature battery, allowing for either “maintained” (on/off) or “non-maintained” (only on during failures) operation.

Key Aspects of Fluorescent Emergency Modules:

Functionality: Upon mains failure, the module switches the lamp to battery power, providing DC power to the lamp.

Compatibility: They work with various T5, T8, and T12 linear fluorescent tubes, as well as 4-pin compact lamps (10W-70W).

Safety Compliance: These modules generally adhere to standards like EN61347 and EN60925.

Battery Type: They often use Nickel-Cadmium (NiCd) batteries, such as 4.8V 4AH sticks.

Components: The units include an inverter to convert DC to AC for the lamp, and a charger to keep the battery ready.

Installation: Designed for internal mounting within modern 220-240V luminaires.
