Self Contained Emergency Luminaires

Self-contained emergency luminaires are independent emergency lights that have their own battery backup, control gear, and light source, making them a simple and flexible solution for emergency lighting.

They connect to the normal mains power circuit but switch to their internal battery when power is lost, providing a high level of system integrity because the failure of one unit does not affect others. This makes them easier to install and modify compared to central battery systems, though individual maintenance and battery replacement are still required.

Mains-powered: The unit charges its internal battery using the normal mains power supply until a power failure occurs.

Simplified installation: This design eliminates the need for special fire-rated cabling to a central power source, making installation quicker and cheaper.
