BCC 121 SL Protective Functions:

Voltage: c.c. from 198 to 250 V, c.a. from 220 to 240 V (±10%);
Over voltage:
Vac = 320 V – 48h with and without lamp;
Vac = 350 V – 2h with and without lamp;
Vac = 388 V – 10 sec.;
Low voltage:
Vac = 176 V – 2h;
Vdc = 176 V – 2h.

Switch-off caused by broken or dead lamp.

The BCC 121 SL electronic ballast constantly verifies that the lamps absorb current and that their voltage is in the permitted field. When a malfunction is detected the ballast automatically excludes the connected lamps and goes into stand-by.

Self-restart.

When attached to the electric mains the electronic ballast does not start until the lamps are connected to the output terminals. When the lamp is replaced the ballast automatically restarts with pre-heating.

T5 lamps are slim (16mm diameter) linear fluorescent tubes known for high energy efficiency and superior luminous efficacy compared to T8/T12 tubes. Primarily used in commercial and retail spaces, they are designed for electronic ballasts. While offering high-output options for general lighting or growing plants, traditional T5s are being replaced by more efficient, longer-lasting T5 LED alternatives.

Size: 5/8 inch (16mm) diameter, making them thinner than T8s.

Performance: Offer higher luminous efficacy (more light per watt).

Types: Available in High Efficiency (HE) and High Output (HO) versions, often used in warehouses and retail.

Ballast: Require electronic ballasts, meaning they do not need starters.

Light Quality: High-quality colour rendering, often using triphosphoric coatings.

T8 lamps are 1-inch (26mm) diameter linear tubular lights featuring a G13 2-pin base, widely used for efficient lighting in offices, warehouses, and garages. They are available as both energy-efficient fluorescent tubes (15,000–20,000+ hour life) and longer-lasting LED replacements (40,000+ hours), typically in 2ft to 6ft lengths.

Design & Usage: TCD lamps consist of four parallel, narrow fluorescent tubes (double turn). They are widely used for general lighting in commercial settings like offices, retail spaces, and hallways.

Pin Configurations:

2-Pin (TCD / TC-D): Designed for standard magnetic ballasts, these often include a starter within the base.

4-Pin (TCD/E / TC-DE): Used with high-frequency electronic control gear.
