An Addressable Maintained/Non-Maintained Driver is an emergency lighting power supply connected to a central control system. It automatically reports its battery and lamp health. It can power a light continuously (Maintained) or keep it off until a mains power failure occurs (Non-Maintained).
Key Operating Modes
Maintained: The luminaire operates as a standard light on normal power. When mains power fails, the driver automatically switches to its backup battery to keep the light illuminated.
Non-Maintained: The luminaire remains off during normal operation. The driver monitors the mains supply and activates the light via the backup battery only when power to the building is lost.
Addressable Features (DALI & Central Systems)
Addressable drivers integrate with digital communication networks (like DALI or proprietary central battery systems).
Automated Testing: Eliminates the need for manual testing by automatically running scheduled 3-hour duration and function tests.
Error Reporting: Immediately flags battery faults, lamp failures, or driver issues to a central monitoring panel.
