Liteplan CPH-M

The CPH-M unit is designed as a central battery driver with hold off (240V, 110V or 50V AC/DC) to run a single dedicated LED in emergency, with the output held off whenever the 240V AC un-switched supply is present. At the point the un-switched supply is broken, the driver will accept the feed from the central battery and power the dedicated LED at either 350mA, 550mA or 700mA.

This unit is for intermittent use. If being used as a slave, this must be considered. The unit is not for permanent use.

The CPH-M module is supplied as a dedicated emergency lighting driver for integrally mounting within the luminaire. It is suitable for powering our range of dedicated emergency LEDs and is designed to run from a central battery system.

The CPH-M unit is designed as a centrally supplied unit (240V, 110V or 50V AC/DC) to run a dedicated LED in emergency, with the output held off whenever the 240V AC unswitched supply is present.

At the point the unswitched supply is broken, the driver will accept the feed from the central battery and power a single LED at 350mA, 550mA, or 700mA.

Central battery drivers with “hold-off” (or inhibit) are emergency lighting modules designed for central power systems. They monitor the standard mains supply, keeping the emergency light “held off” (inactive) while mains power is normal. If the un-switched mains fail, the hold-off relay disengages and instantly powers the dedicated LED from the central battery.

These drivers are crucial for maintaining safety and compliance in public spaces, educational facilities, and secure units.

Universal Voltage Input: Modules are engineered to accept varying AC/DC central battery inputs, commonly operating at 240V, 110V, or 50V.

Current Options: Output currents are typically adjustable—via jumper cables or switches—to 350mA, 550mA, or 700mA depending on the LED load.

Intermittent Use: These devices are not intended for permanent, continuous operation; they are specifically for emergency/intermittent use.

System Integration: They are highly integrated with centralised changeover relay panels that control entire lighting sub-circuits.

Liteplan’s wealth of knowledge extends many years. Their Technical Manager, David French BSc. sits on the committee at ICEL and works closely with The LIA. Their Product R&D Manager, Osman Özgür Rakibet, PhD, takes control of Liteplan’s product road map. His knowledge is steering their evolution and maintaining their position as the innovators of the emergency lighting sector.

Many of Liteplan’s engineers have worked with the company for over 20 years, constantly striving to progress through the our ever evolving CPD scheme to stay at the forefront of the ever changing world of legislation.

Liteplan proudly design all of their products in-house, making product evolution a constant and seamless process. They employ over 60 local personnel, many of whom have been with them for the majority of their existence and they also pride themselves on their unrivalled delivery satisfaction level.

Their 40,000 square foot factory enables them to carry a huge level of stock, thereby fulfilling even the largest of orders with haste. They recently acquired additional warehousing adjacent to their headquarters near London’s M25. This will fuel Liteplan’s global expansion plans for many years to come.
