APV-25-24

Non-dimmable constant voltage LED drivers are power supplies that convert standard mains AC voltage to a stable, low DC voltage (typically 12V or 24V). Designed exclusively for parallel-wired LED strips and fixtures, they provide a steady power output rather than adjusting brightness.

How They Work

Input vs. Output: They accept a standard mains input (like 200–240V AC) and output a fixed DC voltage.The “Constant” Factor: The voltage remains fixed regardless of the electrical load, ensuring consistent, full-brightness illumination.

No Wall Dimmer Capability: Because they are non-dimmable, they must not be connected to a standard mains dimmer switch. Doing so will cause flickering, driver malfunction, or damage to your LEDs.

Common Applications

These drivers are ideal for setups that do not require dimming or where dimming is handled separately by low-voltage controllers rather than the mains power:

LED Strip Lighting (Tape): Most common for under-cabinet, cove, or accent lighting.

Colour-Changing Systems: Used for RGB, RGBW, or tunable white (CCT) LED tapes. Dimming and colour mixing are managed by a low-voltage controller placed between the driver and the lights.

Miniature Downlights: Many low-voltage, single-color miniature cabinet or plinth lights that simply turn on and off.
