The BCC 124 is a multi-lamp and multi-power mini electronic ballast from Italian manufacturer TCI.
1 x 24 T5, 1 x 24 TC-L, 1 x 24 TC-F, 1 x 26 TC-D/E, 1 x 26 TC-T/E or 1 x 22 T-R5 fluorescent lamps.

• Suitable for connection to emergency equipment in compliance with EN 60598-2-22.
• It can be used for lighting equipment in protection class I and II.
• Sizes are compatible with mechanical ballast.
• Push-wire connections.
• Input and output terminal blocks on opposite sides.
• Ballast can be secured with slots for screws M4.
• Start with preheating to increase the life of the lamp.
• Protection: in case of disconnection of the lamp (re-start with pre-heating), lamp failure or end of life.

Connector cross section 0.5 – 1.5 mm2 – Input and output on opposite sides – Start with pre-heating for longer lamp life (cut-off function) – Protection against lamp disconnection (re-start with preheating), lamp failure or end of life – Ballast can be secured with slots for M4 screws.

BCC 126 Protective Functions:
Voltage: c.c. from 198 to 250 V, c.a. from 220 to 240 V (±10%);
Over voltage:
Vac = 320 V – 48h with and without lamp;
Vac = 350 V – 2h with and without lamp;
Vac = 388 V – 10 sec.;
Low voltage:
Vac = 176 V – 2h;
Vdc = 176 V – 2h.
Switch-off caused by broken or dead lamp.
The BCC 126 electronic ballast constantly verifies that the lamps absorb current and that their voltage is in the permitted field. When a malfunction is detected the ballast automatically excludes the connected lamps and goes into stand-by.
Self-restart.
When attached to the electric mains the electronic ballast does not start until the lamps are connected to the output terminals. When the lamp is replaced the ballast automatically restarts with pre-heating.

T5 lamps are slim (16mm diameter) linear fluorescent tubes known for high energy efficiency and superior luminous efficacy compared to T8/T12 tubes. Primarily used in commercial and retail spaces, they are designed for electronic ballasts. While offering high-output options for general lighting or growing plants, traditional T5s are being replaced by more efficient, longer-lasting T5 LED alternatives.

TC-L lamps are energy-efficient, compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) designed for space-constrained, high-output lighting, typically featuring a rectangular shape with a 4-pin 2G11 socket. They are widely used in commercial, office, and residential ceiling or wall fixtures. Common sizes range up to 55W (approx. 53 cm).

Lifespan: Average bulb life is approximately 10,000–30,000 hours depending on the model and ballast.
