Description

Liteplan ERM/2/MinEM

The ERM/2/MinEM is a small and simple to install 3-hour non-maintained 160lm emergency LED strip, supplied complete with the latest, extra long life lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery packs.

The unit is designed to operate as a standalone emergency solution where there the main light source cannot be converted, or simplicity of installation is paramount. The LED strip is provided with a connecting loom and white plastic rivets to allow form simple installation. The LED strip also features a built in charge indicator LED.

All our batteries feature temperature monitoring. In keeping with the latest update to BS EN 61347-2-7 Their associated modules will stop charging the cells if their case temperature falls below 0°C or rises above 55°C. The emergency packs will continue to operate where required, providing their is enough capacity remaining in the battery. Our lithium iron phosphate cells feature a low self-discharge of 5% per month.

The ERM/2/MinEM is supplied as a complete non-maintained emergency driver & LED strip for integral mounting within a luminaire.

The 3-hour emergency lighting driver operates the LED strip at 250mA which provides 160 lumen from the LED strip. This unit is designed for emergency lighting, not for continuous use.
This product is suitable for mounting to a gear-tray adjacent to the light source, mitigating the risk of LEDs being miss-replaced and causing non-compatibility with existing emergency packs.

The charger will cut-off if the Tc of the battery falls below 0 degrees C or above 55 degrees C. The product will however operate when required in emergency, should there be enough capacity remaining in the battery.

Non-maintained LED emergency kits are conversion packs installed in standard LED fixtures. They remain off during normal power conditions but instantly illuminate during a mains failure, running on backup batteries. They provide essential escape lighting without contributing to everyday power consumption.

Key Features

Normal Operation: The module draws a small amount of mains power to constantly trickle-charge its internal battery. During this time, it remains in standby. The light operates exactly as normal, powered by its primary LED driver.

Emergency Mode: If a power outage occurs, the module’s voltage-sensing circuit detects the drop. Within milliseconds, it isolates the mains supply and switches the LEDs to the backup battery. The module converts the battery’s low DC voltage to the correct level required to keep the LEDs illuminated.

Duration: Emergency lights must operate on battery backup for 1 to 3 hours during mains failure.

Energy Efficient: Since they only activate during emergencies, they experience less wear and tear and conserve power.

Liteplan’s wealth of knowledge extends many years. Their Technical Manager, David French BSc. sits on the committee at ICEL and works closely with The LIA. Their Product R&D Manager, Osman Özgür Rakibet, PhD, takes control of Liteplan’s product road map. His knowledge is steering their evolution and maintaining their position as the innovators of the emergency lighting sector.

Many of Liteplan’s engineers have worked with the company for over 20 years, constantly striving to progress through the our ever evolving CPD scheme to stay at the forefront of the ever changing world of legislation.

Liteplan proudly design all of their products in-house, making product evolution a constant and seamless process. They employ over 60 local personnel, many of whom have been with them for the majority of their existence and they also pride themselves on their unrivalled delivery satisfaction level.

Their 40,000 square foot factory enables them to carry a huge level of stock, thereby fulfilling even the largest of orders with haste.
